The 6 Simple Steps To Gaining Your HGV LicenseStep 1: Medical We can arrange this for you or the medical can be carried out by your own GP. The Doctor will have to complete a D4 Medical Form which is included in this pack. This is a private medical and all Doctors will charge a fee for this. Step 2: Applying for your provisional LGV/PCV Licence Next you will have to apply to the DVLA for a provisional LGV/PCV Licence by completing the D2 Licence Application Form included in this pack. Step 3: Theory Test, Hazzard Perception & Case Study Tests Once you have received your Provisional Licence, we can arrange each of the necessary Theory Tests and associated study material. Step 4: Practical Training Your Training will include on-the-road training as well as all of the test manoeuvers and exercises in order for you to pass your Driving Standards Agency (DSA) test. Step 5: Practical Test The test takes approximately 11/2 hours and is conducted by a Driving Standards Agency examiner at a DSA Test Centre. Step 6: Inital CPC Demonstration Practical Test This test is conducted at a DSA Test Centre. It is a practical test but does not require you to drive, the questions are based around the vehicle you will take to the Test Centre, we will provide you with one day’s training in our classroom facilities prior to your test.
