C+E LGV 1...

An Articulated Large Goods Vehicle (Commonly Called "A Class 1 or Arctic") OR Large Lorry Over 3,500 Kg Towing a Single Axle Trailer Over 5,000 Kg Or Any Other Trailer Over 750 Kg.

If You Want To Drive a Vehicle In This Category, You Will First Have To Hold a Category C Licence.

After Passing The Category C Test, You Licence Will Have C + E Provisional Entitlement Included When It Is Returned To You.

No Time Restriction!

Currently There Is No Mandatory Time Limit Between Passing A Test In Category C And Taking A Test In Category C + E, You Must However Have Sent Off The Pass Certificate For Category C and Received You Licence Back With C + E Provisional Entitlement. This Normally Take Around 14 Days.

You Do Not Have To Sit Another Theory Test Or Have Another Medical Before Taking The Driving Test.

Category C and Category C + E Licences Will Be Valid Until You Reach The Age Of 45...

Ambulance Training at Three Counties Training...A Medium Sized Lorry With a MAM (Maximum Authorised Mass) Of At Least 4 Tonnes MGM And Not Exceeding 7.5 Tonnes (Commonly Called, "A Seven and a Half Tonner"). Also Known as Category C1.

If You Passed Your Car Test After January 1997 And Want To Drive A Vehicle In This Category You Will Have To Meet The Medical Requirements, Apply For Provisional Category C1 or C (If You Are Over 21) Entitlement, and Pass The LGV Theory Test Before Taking a Driving Test In a Vehicle This Size.

If you require a C1 licence to become a paramedic, we at Three Counties Training will do your driver training in actual Mercedes Ambulances, giving you the experience to drive the vehicles you need for your career.

Car + Trailer - B+E training...

image...If you passed your driving test after the 1st January 1997 (including re-tests) you must pass a practical category B+E test to tow a trailer which exceeds 750kg, or vehicle and trailer/caravan combination over 3.5 tonnes.

The standard "B" Car licence will allow you to tow a combined weight up to 3.5 tonnes providing that the laden weight of the trailer does not exceed the unladen weight of the tow vehicle.

Three Counties Training offer towing training by Fully Qualified Driving Instructors to companies and individuals who require this additional category.

We can offer initial assessments of ability, as well as structured training to pass the test. We provide the vehicle and trailer for training and for the test.

The B+E test is based on the LGV driving test and lasts for approximately one hour.

The test consists of the following requirements:
- The ability to carry out safety checks on your vehicle and trailer
- The reversing exercise
- The braking exercise
- The drive
- Uncoupling and recoupling
You do not need a medical or Theory test prior to this training...

D1 Minibus ...

image...A PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) Licence Entitling You To Carry upto 16 Passengers For Hire Or Reward. If You Passed Your Car Test After January 1997 And Want To Drive A Vehicle In This Category You Will Have To Meet The Medical Requirements, Apply For Provisional Category D1 Entitlement, and Pass The PCV Theory Test Before Taking a Driving Test In a Vehicle This Size.

image...A PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) Licence Entitling You To Carry More Than 16 Passengers For Hire Or Reward.

If You Want To Drive a Large Bus For Hire Or Reward You Must Apply For A Category D Licence. This Will Entitle You To Drive Any Size Of Bus Including Double Deckers.

If You Want To Drive a Vehicle In This Category, You Will Have To Meet The Medical Requirements To Apply For Provisional Category D Entitilement, And Pass The PCV Theory Test Before Taking The Driving Test In a Vehicle Of This Type.

You Must Be 21 Years Of Age To Drive Vehicle In This Category Or At 18 Years, Have An Agreement With DVLA That Restricts You To Driving Up To a Maximum Of 50 Km From The Depot That You Are Working From...
